Goodbye

So, we're leaving the Boston area tomorrow, and as a result, I'm leaving this blog behind. I'm doing this for a few reasons: I feel as though what I need to say at this point in our process is too raw and painful for a public forum. I also want to keep Rafa's blog full of hope, even when it's tough, and while I was able to do it when he was here, it's harder to do now that he's gone. Finally, I want families who are looking for information and a chance at life to see Our Little Healer as that kind of a resource. Because we were able to find that light in so many other blogs when we were first diagnosed.

We'll still be in cyberspace, in some form or another, but as far as this format goes, we want to leave it as we found it...a place dedicated to our hero.

Mommy and Daddy will see you soon, Sunshine.

  1. Thank you for sharing these thoughts. Know that my family and I am are always here to support you, to lend an ear and to share Rafa's memories; to complain about how unfair life is and to pray for healing; to laugh and to cry.

    Much love

  3. Thank you for sharing Rafa's story with us. We don't know each other, but were bond by CDH and geography. Rafa has been and will be in my prayers and I still think of you both and him. Good luck with your new ventures and know that Rafa has touch my heart.

  4. Hi Phoebe.
    Good luck with the move.
I'm sorry I missed Rafa's anniversary, I was in recovery from my IVF treatment. Here's to keeping hope alive.
I think moving on from the blog is probably a good move for your psyche. I'll miss reading it though. You are an amazing person and you will find your feet again as a teacher and a mother. You are both. You always will be both.
    Love!
